Sassy Sauce

Submitted by Holly Houg

About the cook: I LOVE trying new recipes any chance I get! I rarely make the same thing twice! I’d rather create my own recipes than follow a recipe that’s already been written.

About the dish: This is a recipe I recently created to smear on my burger. But then I realized how amazing it also tastes on chicken, salmon, pork chops, cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, etc.

National Origin: American

Serves: 20

Estimated Time: Under 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup avocado mayo
¼ cup tomato sauce
3 Tablespoons stone ground mustard
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
3 Tablespoons hot sauce
2 Tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt
1½ teaspoon garlic powder
1½ teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
½ teaspoon guar gum

Preparation:

1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Put in a jar with a lid and store in fridge for up to 7 days.
